Selene - Original

Selene is from a fashion design project inspired by Australia's marine wildlife. I grew up on the East Coast of Austalia and spent my childhood pretending to fish from a bucket and hunting for small crabs on the beach. 

 

This illustration is inspired by the anatomy of leafy seadragons and their gossamer, leaf-shaped fins, providing camouflage and allowing them to blend in with the surrounding seaweed and kelp. The colours I used are inspired by the colours of the night sky reflected in the sea.
